This Cookie Policy explains how FileButler, owned and operated by Envisage Companies, LLC, uses cookies, local storage and similar browser technologies on FileButler websites, public landing pages and related online services.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on a device. Similar technologies include browser local storage and other mechanisms that allow a website to remember information or recognize a browser. This policy uses “cookies” broadly to refer to cookies and comparable browser technologies.
2. Technologies FileButler may use

3. Stripe checkout
When a visitor uses a FileButler subscription checkout, Stripe may place or read its own cookies or similar technologies for payment processing, fraud prevention, security and related checkout functions. Those technologies are controlled by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's own privacy information and applicable consent requirements. FileButler does not store full payment card numbers.
4. FileButler portal technologies
The FileButler client portal may use cookies and browser storage that are needed to sign users in, maintain a secure session and save requested display preferences. These portal technologies are separate from optional advertising or analytics technologies.
5. How consent works
Where a cookie or similar technology is not strictly necessary, FileButler's consent mechanism is designed so that the optional category remains disabled until the user chooses to enable it. The consent interface provides a way to accept all optional categories, reject non-essential categories, or manage individual preferences.
A user's consent choice is stored so that the site can remember that choice. The consent record is used for preference management and is not itself used to create an advertising profile.
6. Changing your choices
You can change your optional cookie choices by selecting “Cookie Settings” or the equivalent preference link made available by FileButler. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect the operation of portions of the portal or checkout.
7. Third-party technologies
Third-party services may use their own cookies or similar technologies when their services are requested. This may include Stripe during checkout. Where an optional third-party technology is enabled by FileButler in the future, the FileButler consent mechanism is intended to prevent it from loading before the required consent is recorded.
8. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our technologies, vendors, legal requirements or consent practices change. The “Last Revised” date above will be updated when the policy changes.
